HouseMark Evolve is your chance to engage with the social housing sector in order build your business and open doors to new clients and investment. Our 12 week programme will offer you access to senior leaders in HouseMark and 13 leading social housing providers with hundreds of thousands of owned and managed homes between them, as well as plans to build thousands more in the coming years.

HouseMark is the leading provider of social housing data and insight to the social housing sector. More than 950 housing organisations are HouseMark members, a number of whom are directly involved in the programme as Pioneers – offering access to mentoring, product validation, piloting and business leaders.

We have partnered with innovation specialists L Marks to ensure that we build a fantastic programme for startups to have the best possible experience and opportunity to grow with us.

  • Coheat

    Coheat is an energy technology company. They help deliver smart heat networks for retrofit and new building housing, which are simpler, more reliable, more efficient, and more affordable than installing individual boilers in every home.

  • Illumr

    Illumr helps organisations leverage big data, by revealing patterns and insights hidden in data that other methodologies have missed. It enables data and rules visualisation in a self-organising 3D space and it bridges the gap between data scientists and decision-makers.

  • Plentific is an innovative home services marketplace, which is free for homebuyers and homeowners. It deals with the difficulties of finding home services professionals with the right qualifications and project history.

  • Rapid Information Systems

    Rapid offers a lean and agile approach to software development, where apps can be created without code. It is an open source, drag and drop builder for web applications, offline mobile applications, forms, and web-service APIs.

  • Skenario Labs

    Skenarios digitalise the real estate business and replaces spreadsheets with one beautiful web service. Their service automatically combines relevant data sources to provide unique building insights. Because of their analytics they can provide performance indicators without asking any data.

  • Standard Access

    Standard Access provides secure, reliable and hassle free system for commercial real estate management. Landlords can issue keys to tenants and users via the cloud, removing the need for physical keys.

When’s the deadline for applying?


What information do I need to provide in my application?

We ask you for information about you, your idea, your team and your company. Don’t hold back, let us know how great you are.

Is there a minimum age?

You must be at least 18 years old to enter programme.

I don’t live in the UK, can I apply?

Of course, the best innovations can come from anywhere. Bear in mind that you may need a visa to participate in the accelerator.

Is HouseMark Evolve like other accelerators?

We believe we are different. HouseMark Evolve is a programme of development that focuses on building a strong relationship between you and our Pioneers, as well as helping your business get to the next stage. HouseMark Evolve will offer you access to investment, desk space, internal mentors and expertise at providers across the country and external mentors.

How many stages is the programme?

The competition has 4 stages:

What are the terms of entry into the programme?

The finalists entering HouseMark will be made a bespoke investment offer depending on the stage that their business is at. Each team will be eligible to apply for investment in exchange for a negotiable stake in their company.

When is HouseMark Evolve?

The incubation period starts on 05/12/16 and finishes on 24/02/17.

Where is the programme based?

HouseMark Evolve will be based at one of our Pioneer’s offices – RHP in Teddington, London.

Do I need to work from the office space during the accelerator?

Being based at RHP’s offices is going to be the best way for you to engage with the people and resources there. If you can’t make it to London though, we’ll still consider your application.

I don’t live in the UK, do I need to find my own accommodation?

L Marks have got a great team on hand who can support you in finding accommodation during the programme.

I need special equipment to develop my product, will the HouseMark Evolve provide it?

We’ll be in contact before kick-off to ensure that everything you need is on location in the office.

Where will the mentors come from?

HouseMark Evolve mentors will be key decision makers within the housing sector. You will also have access to external mentors specific to your category.

What does the day to day look like in the programme?

The programme’s itinerary is designed to help you create game changing products for the housing sector. You’ll be working to rapidly develop your product, receiving essential guidance on key decisions in real time from your mentors. Aside from this core focus, you’ll also attend enlightening talks and workshops from a plethora of exceptional visitors.

How much investment will each company get?

Each team will have access to investors at L Marks and will be able to negotiate investment terms directly with them – there is no equity obligation to enter the programme.

How will the equity stake be calculated?

Each investment will be made on a case by case basis, taking an agreed company valuation into account.
